What happens when u cannot pay maintenance cost?

my HS has 12 maintenance cost
i dont gather hs stones anymore
what happens when i will have not enough?

    You'll be put in a maintenance mode where some HS props will not work for you until you pay the cost in stones. Props that have a maintenance cost to build will cease functioning and not be removable until you pay the fee.

    Wasn't there some bug that occurred if this happened? Like it would break the homestead's functions somehow. I recall a thread from long ago and this player was at their wit's end trying to get it fixed.

    Many things on your homestead, especially things that have maintenance costs, will get disabled and can't be activated or confer any passive bonuses.

    This lasts for at least until the next week's homestead maintenance fee collection, where if you have the stones for that week's AND last week's fees, the disabled functions will be restored.
    If you don't have enough, then the things will stay disabled another week.

    You can also pay pons to end the penalty earlier.

    my hs says total maint cost is 0..so am i good? xD
