Must be careful Dequipping some Items if No Dura.
This is a little specific but could leave some players in a pickle. Specifically items that can reach 0 durability but cannot be dropped, only destroyed. If a player has an item that breaks and needs repair but fails to realize they don't quite have enough space in their inventory (Or not the right shape) before dequipping, they may have no option but to destroy it.
For example, my RM Chainblade reached 0 durability and I had plenty of space in my inventory, but none that could make a 2x3 by only moving one item. Without checking this, I dequipped it to try to equip something else (did not have any other 2x3 weapons in my inventory). The first thing I tried to do was drop the chainblade on the ground so I could reorganize my inventory to make room, but no, it is destroy only. Next, I tried running to the nearest town to get a repair. Nope, you cannot talk to the NPCS with an item in your hand, or it will try to gift it to them. Finally, I was able to contact a guild member and have them buy a specific item from my personal shop, freeing up just enough space to throw the chainblade in my inventory to get repaired. In retrospect, I may also have been able to find a droppable or equippable item in a summoned pet inventory, but another player may not be as lucky to have these options. (Also, the RM weapons may not be storeable on pets.)
I don't think this is quite a bug or glitch, but maybe not as well thought out as it could be, and I am not sure where else this could go.
Thank you, this is a much more appropriate category. It was late when I typed this initially, and I am sorry.
Suggested possible fixes: (One of the following would probably be sufficient)
-Add a drop option to any equippable item that can no longer be equipped at 0 durability, but keep it so that only the player that dropped it can pick it up. (Just like untradeable event items.)
-Instead of being picked up, move items with 0 durability to the inventory or temporary inventory if clicked on.
-Disable dequipping an item with 0 durability if there is insufficient inventory space.
-Make it possible for NPCs to repair an item in hand rather than assume it a gift.
-If the item is replaceable after destroying, make it clear if and where a new one can be obtained by hovering over the destroy button.
Hope you like my suggestions! I'll try to be careful next time my equipment breaks, just trying to help the next player who makes my mistake!

(rebirth example)
When you rebirth and don't have enough inventory space it goes into that small window that says if you don't make room now it will drop to the ground. It be nice if we have an option to place it into that temp window. I think the only downside is that if it falls from that temporarily space then anyone can pick it up as long it was a "tradeable" item in the first place if not destroyed.
I did not have another 2x3 inventory item at the time, no, most were on pets, but I don't think it would have allowed me to place the item on a pet, so that would not have mattered.
I'll have to see what CTRL+Click actually does. (Easy enough to just try it.) Thanks for letting me know it is a thing.
Yes, if I had known for sure if I could reclaim the item, I definitely would have just destroyed it, but without that guarantee, I didn't want to risk it.
Temp inventory does have a time limit, so I really do not think it would be too broken to let players use it at will if there are no items already in it. (This means max items players could potentially abuse it by would be 1 because after the first item is added, there would already be an item in temp inventory.) Also, temp inventory has a mechanic that checks if you have room in your inventory before it lets you pick up an item from it. I really think the same mechanic should apply to picking up broken equipment, given that the same rule applies that you cannot place it back where you picked it up from. The game will not let you screw yourself over by picking up an item from temp if you do not have room, so why does it let you do it with broken equipment?
