Just look at these stat boosts for each Mastery skill:

Swords
Additional Dex
Additional Min Damage
Additional Max Damage
Additional Sword Balance

Axes
Additional Will
Additional Min Damage
Additional Max Damage
Additional Critical
Additional Armor Pierce

Blunts
Additional Strength
Additional Max Damage

That...doesn't seem fair...

    Blunts have a big more damage in general in comparison (+10 max), with axes serving as the niche counterpart to Swords, which are also buffed by Dual Wielding Mastery.

    But str is better than all those combined (except max damage which blunt mastery gives anyway).
