I don't recall dura being relevant, but I believe you've answered your own question, assuming that you used the correct word prompts and have the right items.

The RM shop items are actually unique from regular variants (they can't be traded, for one), so it would not surprise me if they disabled the ability to Ego them, although I wouldn't agree with the 'why' (other than being able to achieve a 'rare' item so easily).

One reason may be because that those weapons expire within 60 days.

Just to clarify this, in order to make a weapon into a spirit weapon it does need to be at 80% or higher maximum durability from when the item was created. If a long sword started with 10 max durability when you bought it, you need to keep it's max durability at or above 8 in order to make it a spirit weapon. If you got a long sword from a gachapon or something with 15 durability, you would need to keep it at or above 12 durability.

    Permanent un-tradeable version of weapon,
    https://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Seal_Merchant
    NOT rental weapon.

The Alchemy RM equipment is labeled as such, and is Demonic.

Thank you for the clarification. I misunderstood when I read the OP.
