Erg Rank Up Guide?

Hello! I've been diving into erg enhancing my weapons and I can't quite figure out how to rank them up once they hit level 5. The Mabinogi wiki does a poor job explaining what the process is like. Am I supposed to get it to the max exp at level 5 first? Do I provide ALL of the listed items on the wiki or just ONE of them?

In other words, if a chainblade requires Iron Ingots, Iron plates, divine mineral fragments, ancient monster core, handicraft kit, and dual gun to rank up past level 5, do I gather EVERYTHING to rank it up, or just give it a handicraft kit or a dual gun (+a scrap chainblade)?

Any helpful insight would be great! Thank you :)

For ranking up you're required to provide ALL of the materials listed. When it asks for the materials during rank up, you need to fill all the slots with their respective items, so yeah, that means a handicraft kit and the special upgrade upgraded weapon (if it listed one). Items with the red exclamation mark will be consumed regardless if the process fails or succeeds while items not listed with the mark will ONLY be consumed when the process succeeds. For higher ranks, it recommended to prepare many instances of red exclamation items as you will most likely fail a few times in your attempts.
