Hello. I hear you like frogs...

Spoiler-Content : So-called «controversial» stuff about the history of these forums and how an «iron-fist» moderation-policy once existed and my so-called «conspiracy theories» behind what happened and how a post like this would have been treated. ⇦ Basically, do not read this...
A time once existed when a post like this would have been auto-deleted because someone, some-where, amongst the chain-of-command, decided that they had zero sense of humour and started enforcing «rules» (arbitrarily I might add) that were entirely anti-fun. Whether it be due to clandestine infiltration from shady organisations or corporations pretending to be government-institutions or perhaps just being plain threatened by them for some reason, such a thing once did happen, and I have both reasonable suspicion and probable cause to believe that the sudden «restrictive» direction, both on these forums as well as the direction the game itself took, for example, reducing the party-member limit for dungeons from 8 down to 4 members, was largely responsible for the sharp decline in the population-base. Moral of the story ? Don't be too much of an «authoritarian» if you wish for people to stick around and/or trust you. Good thing that somebody, some-where along the chain-of-command, had at least some common-sense to move things in a more reasonable direction (albeit this was likely not until after a long train of massive-complaints made by a large segment of the former population which even included some of the former-moderators).
