Training celestial spike help!

im at rank 4 where u need to kill an apostle with celestial spike. Im killing mineral wolfs with the skill (just following what wiki says)in Girgashiy raid (very hard mode) and its not counting. am i doing it wrong? or do i have to kill the boss apostles
