Question on Wind Blast

So I have been testing damage for Wind blast and in my eyes I can not for the life of me see if wind alchemy damage boost from enchants and reforges even effect the damage of the skill. Does anyone else know if the skill is boosted with wind alchemy damage?

    Maybe they effect knock back distance or maybe effect how close you have to be to get boosted knock back distance. I do use Windblast but for me it's like Magic Bolts: I use them for the secondary effects; if they also happen to damage, well then that's just a bonus.
