Diamond Jeweler Formal Suit (M) style tab issue

Several people near me and I have been noticing a strange quirk of my Diamond Jeweler Formal Suit (M) in the style tab.
It will randomly cease to override the outfit in the equipment tab but not for every witness. Some people will see my armor, others will see the outfit.
Today I logged on to see my armor in character selection and my style tab bodywear wouldn't reappear until I re-equipped it once ingame.

I have been trying to find reproducible triggers for this bug but so far no luck.
