How to Enter
Submit a 15 second or less GIF in either this contest thread or on the Official Forums.

Submissions Period: Thursday, November 7, 2024 12:00 PM PST to Thursday, December 5, 2024 12:00 PM PST

RULES
* Designs must align with Mabinogi Terms of Service and not contain any derogatory or inappropriate imagery.
* Entrants may submit a maximum of 1 design to either the #⁠contest-submissions channel in Discord or this Forum Thread in the Official Forums.
* You may submit your design on both platforms, but it will only count as one entry.
* Entrants must provide their in-game name with their submission.
* The design must be submitted as a GIF file or soundless video file, no longer than 15 seconds.
* The GIF must of your character invoking the glyph, not the glyph preview.

Judging
Will be judged by the Community Managers and panel of judges! (Nexon Staff, Volunteer Moderators, etc.)
CRITERIA BASED ON:
* 50% Creativity
* 50% Composition

    Posting the first *real* glyph design I ever made! It's a classic that has gotten me compliments from a lot of very cool and kind people! n_n
    I like designing spellcircles! There's something so relaxing about putting together lines and shapes to form intricate patterns!
    I want to make more designs but I've been putting it off until I can afford one of the glyphwriting 2nd titles. Hopefully, I can get a hold of one soon!
    I had some lore baked into my choice of runes, based on their meaning--according to the wiki--and my own (perhaps very liberal) interpretation of them:
    Outer runes: ᛗ ᛟ ᚨ / ᚨ ᛟ ᛗ - Man Inherits God / God Inherits Man. "Inherits" being interpreted as "Receives" or "Creates".
    Inner runes (repeating): ᛗ ᛄ ᚨ - Man Year God. "Year" being interpreted as the general passage of time and is used to mean "Become" in this context - as in: Man Becomes God.
    "Man" is interpreted as "Humanoid": tuatha de danann, fomorians and milletians, regardless of gender, in all examples.
    Man summons deities or create other god-like monstrosities to fight their battles. The deities enlist and empower men, by giving them godlike powers, to fight their battles in return. The Milletian inherits powers from both man and god - becoming a powerful deity themself.
    I felt it meshed very well with the story of Mabinogi and the progression of the Milletian and all the other characters, deities, tuatha de danann and fomors!

    (Wanted to include this in case it counts for my creativity score. :P)
