Taming Wild Animals Success Rate in Dungeons
Hello, I'd like to bring up the issue with the success rate for Taming Wild Animals.
I believe that the skill is bugged after doing some research and it seems the dungeon revamp (one of them at least) is to blame for it. If I remember correctly, the skill's success rate is determined by the monster's Combat Power, with 5,000 being the limit in the past. A few exceptions like the Banshee and the Lich were made from what I recall. Anyway, after an hour of searching around forum posts, it seems the stat increases to mobs in dungeons raised their CP beyond the 5,000 cap, thus making them unable to be tamed. Again, according to other posts from the past, it seems Nexon's response to this was to add a minimum success rate of 0.1% to the skill. Which seems to be true from what I saw.
So what brings this up? Well, yesterday I spend around 4 hours in order to tame a darn Cyclops. Used around 600 shrimp bait then switched to courcle bait since I can't buy from inside a dungeon and I can't waste my time making thousands of shrimp bait. I was also using the Tikka Taming Cane along with the Master title and Tupai's 2nd title. I also rebirthed into the Adventurer talent just in case the 150% success rate applied to Taming. I also found out that all the bonuses are something like x1.5 of the SUCCESS RATE. So I'm getting something like 0.18% of a success rate after all the bonuses. Orz
I can tell the huge difference from the past since even the Banshee, the hardest monster to tame, only took me something like 1 hour to tame and it was expected. You can't expect everyone to spend 4 hours or longer per boss monster in a dungeon.
In conclusion, I know the skill is obsolete and no one uses it, but hey, just raising the minimum success rate to like 1% shouldn't be that hard, no? q_q
