Why are the Gachapon rates so low?
I haven't been playing long but the gachapon rates are extremely low when compared to literally any other game to the point that it feels like an insult to the players. 0.13% for the promoted outfit in a fashion gachapon? Yikes, and now it's even worse with the Resplendent Wing Box bottoming out at a 0.02% to 0.08% for any of the orbs which come with multiple items but still way too low. Do people really find this okay? The biggest insult is that they throw tons of "consolation" items just to buffer out the things that actually matter into the gachapon list. They should seriously make a seperate item shop listing for some of these "consolation" items.
To be clear about the poll I made, Raising the rates would be increasing the percentage and making them easier to be pulled for rarer items (and possibly removing some of the consolation items).

That way We could "price" certain rare items We are after rather than just money burning in a nonsensical way for a 0.03~0.09% each pull.
Nexon had already gotten caught rigging gacha rates in Maplestory quite a number of years back.
They already can manipulate the percentage of item drop rates inside of loot boxes.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the drop ratio numbers we see listed have no solid total dollar expenditure to back them up.
I really liked being able to buy a few Special outfit bundles rather than having to gamble for them.
Hopefully that can become a feature for returning outfits, instead of a special marketing ploy to draw in returning players.
Or, once the New Rise update hits, if we can buy the Outfit Rarity Upgrade material with NX, and use that to upgrade an outfit from Standard to Special.
As far as a Pity System goes, it's looking more and more like that will have to become a required feature if Nexon wants to exist in the future.
There is a lot of online related legislation in the US just sitting on the Senate floor waiting for action.
All of it will impact the way that Nexon operates in terms of loot boxes.
I wouldn't be too surprised to see Nexon become the next company to be made an example of.
Nexon still has such a large revenue stream from gachapons.
One of the KR devs openly disclosed in his Project Eternity blog that he first started playing Mabinogi as a child.
(Reminder that minors aren't allowed by law to gamble, and KR has been using the gachapon sales model as well.)
Selling loot boxes (confirmed by US FTC as gambling mechanics in the 2019 loot box workshop) will look bad if Nexon can't change the marketing tactics.
