Project Eternity. Mabinogi reborn *hear me out*
Hello! I'm a longtime veteran here. My suggestion involves the state at which Project Eternity will be released and my suggestion is this: Start Mabinogi over with Project Eternity (or start a separate progression server) . This game is very old but beloved by many, and I think that it would be nice to have a new wave of players experience the game from the very beginning. I think taking this route would cause a surge in the player base due to how lacking the gaming industry is in New MMOs. In my experience, it is very difficult for a game that is already well-established to attract newer players due to the idea of catching up with people who've been playing the game since its release. I believe that doing this would breathe life and generate revenue for mabinogi while giving new players a chance to experience one of the best MMO's I've ever played. Starting over will also give the game the challenge it needs to hold the attention of new players. To feel accomplished while playing this game and not feel like they're thrust straight to the end while being overwhelmed by all the systems Mabinogi has in play. A slow but steady rollout will give players time to become specialists again instead of immediate jacks-of-all-trades. I know that in the beginning, at least for me, the friends I made along the way were very identifiable by the skills they mastered and used on the battlefield. I had a friend that was known for mastering Thunder and one that was known for mastering Ice spear for example. It gave the game extra Flavor text(is that the term?) and made the game more immersive. The new quality of life mechanics are nice, but some make it too easy. being able to rank a skill to rank one in a few hours pulls away from the sense of accomplishment the game used to give players. feels less like you've earned it but I digress. I think I'm not alone in saying that a progression server is something a lot of players would like, and I hope this message reaches those who are capable of making that decision, even if the likelihood of their answer being no.

If they did a server reset with the remake they would upset so many people, so I seriously doubt they would even consider doing that, but maybe they can incentivize players to make new characters by offering up unique rewards tied to hard mode, such as unique titles or items that would be locked to that character.
There would definitely be some upset players if they decided to wipe progress, but that's not exactly what I'm asking for. I'm asking for a chance for new players to re-experience the game from the very beginning, or at least that was my intent. I wasn't asking for a deletion of what was, so forgive me if it came off that way. A Progression server adjacent to what's currently there is what I'm advocating for. It would be a way to entice new players, build higher revenue for the company, and now that I think about it, it would be a good way for them to roll it out quicker instead of remaking the entirety of the game before its release. Rolling out the generations as they're completed would be a great way to recreate the rollout of a brand-new game artificially.
