Concerns About Recent Event Changes

Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to share some thoughts and see if others feel similarly about the recent changes to the "Over the Rainbow" event and the adjustments to the leprechaun’s spawn limit. I was really excited about this event, as it seemed like a fantastic opportunity for players of all levels to work toward their goals and enjoy the game together.
My wife and I planned our schedules around this event, even taking two days off to dive into the content as a team. I had completed my Crom solo runs and moved on to Tech Duinn and Shadow Missions, with today dedicated to dungeons. Like many of you, I put in a lot of effort to make the most of this event, and I was thrilled about how it could help so many players progress with their gear.
However, the sudden removal of the event and the changes to the spawn limit have left me feeling a bit disappointed. I completely understand the need to balance gameplay and encourage engagement with older content, but the weekly run limits on what’s now considered mid-game content can feel restrictive. For some, this might lead to burnout, especially when drop rates feel underwhelming, and we’re left waiting for the next week’s reset.
I’ve been playing this game since the elf update and truly love the experience—whether running content solo or with friends. This event felt like a game-changer for dedicated players willing to grind, and I’m worried these changes might discourage some from continuing their journey.
I’d love to hear your thoughts! Do you feel the same about these changes, or do you see them differently? Maybe there’s a way we can share constructive feedback with the team to find a balance that keeps the event rewarding for everyone. Thanks for reading, and I’m grateful for this amazing community!

I agree with their decision to improve the drop rates in the harder dungeons/missions because running hard content should be proportionately rewarding. People have worked hard to get the gear/skills to run those. The nerf to the HMA dungeons via spawn limits I disagree with.

I'm a returning player and not strong enough for the harder content. Being able to run HMA Alby/Ciar/Rundal a few times a day to get AP + Levels + potential drops to help me catch up is a huge incentive. Weaker players should be allowed to grind their way to success rather than be punished by hard limits. This event + Flying High seemed to work well together to help new players get caught up and geared up to go into tougher content, but their decision to set limits goes against that idea.

as some one who can run the harder dungeon's like crom and tecs solo the lower drop rate where disappointing but it made the event good for lower end players to get a leg up with gear so they can run content like croms and tecs and we are all already limited by access to pass's and time and amount of runs. me and my mabi Groupe was already tired and burning out from the lvl skill and Archana grinding and the over the rainbow event felt rewarding to do instead of just spamming 100-200 runs for 1 BME we where getting erg matts and every now and then a crom matt or piece of gear every 20-40ish runs felt like a normal game with actual rewards and drops... we are not playing mabi until they turn event back on and even then if the drops are worse and the dungeon's have something like 15-20 limit we done with mabi for a bit we have other games to play... when they limited tecs me and my Groupe didn't touch mabi for almost a full year this might be the trigger for anther break from mabi...

I have never supported limits of any kind. The limits are literally telling us to stop playing. I know many people who have done so. I'd desperately ask for the event to return especially without limits.

Nexon NA and our CM just do not want us to have fun they would rather push there trash content on us instead of letting us play the game how we want

I'm a recent returnee and I can see some pros and cons of both sides. In short, players who have time and are willing to grind would more likely be against a spawn limit. Those with less time and/or are more casual may see it as reasonable; as a way to lessen "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer."
I'm on the more casual side but don't mind the occasional grind. But I do favor limits of some sort like events with 'choose as main character'. Usually the rewards for these are more significant, and I don't feel pressured to play 8 characters or be on all day to make the most of it. I've basically been playing 1 character for a month since coming back to the game. At this point even solo normal tech is a struggle, so my suggested changes below would be based around benefitting newer and veteran players.

    Suggestions:
    1) Have one general limit for all content instead of specific limits for each content type.
    2) Replace the spawn limit with a soft cap limit. When soft cap is reached, the rarity rate of leprechauns exponentially decreases.
    3) On the other hand, the rarity rates (and maybe bonus drops) should be increased until soft limit is reached.

I personally feel that leprechaun rarity rates should be equal in all content. The bonus material drops, if not already, should be changed to be incentive enough for players to do higher level content if able.
These changes would hopefully allow players to choose content they want to or are able to do without feeling like they are missing out too much; whether they cannot do higher level content or they don't have the time or mental to grind all day. Those with more time and wants to grind can still do so, albeit at a decreasing rarity rate after soft limit is reached. In my biased opinion, I feel a soft limit of 10-20 a week for any content combined would be nice (obviously with the increased leprechauns rarity and bonus drops until limit is reached).

Just a question and partially out of curiosity, when they did the update did it feel like the drops got worse or is it just me?
    Almost every time ive killed a Leprechaun they have only given me gold or leather {all the way up to the golds}
I did Crom Bás it took me an hour and a half to be able to kill the boss solo and i got a regular Leprechaun from it that gave me nothing but gold am i the only one having these issues?
also the few pieces of equipment i got were for the wrong gender that i cant even use/upgrade to the right gender or fragment for parts to make gear i can use,
Just feels like now the limit on the leprechauns was a punishment cause now im highly limited on being able to get better gear for my main or alt characters.

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same, Leprechauns mostly drop gold or low-tier stuff now. Crom Bás solo takes forever and often gives nothing useful. The gender-locked gear is annoying too. Feels like the Leprechaun limits are punishing players more than helping.
