This game has gone to crap. The new DEVs and all that are so focused on end game and getting gear so in trade we lost literally ALL content for the sake of gear runs. As someone who has been here for 17 years+ I want to say that the new updates completely ruin the point of the game. Yes I am glad new players can now run content quicker, but overall this game is going down fast. If you are new: Warning the game is stupid now. If you existed before: Sue Nexon.

    There has been similar threads all over the Korean Forums complaining about the same things. Overall most players are not happy with this update. It is just forcing everyone into endgame dungeons and making any dungeon below Hardmode Advanced useless, plus they removed Unrestricted Dungeon Passes from the game to make it more inconvenient to enter the older dungeons. Tech Missions were made overly easy to the point where they are not even challenging anymore. Here is what should be changed or added:

    - Bring back Unrestricted Dungeon Passes. They never should of been removed in the first place.

    - Improve Iria Dungeons and Castle Dungeons and give them a Veteran Mode as well.

    - Add some type of power scaling system to lower players stats for older dungeon modes (Normal, Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced) to make these dungeons more challenging and relevant again. Also disable the use of Arcana for these dungeon modes. If they make the rewards worth it players will run them.

    - Instead of giving players a Rabbie Phantasm Pass on Fridays for VIP they should give out a any pass selection box that expires in 24 hours. That way players could choose what they wanna do instead of being forced in Rabbie Phantasm runs.

    - Tech Missions should be changed back to the way they were before. If they want to keep the shorter easier ones around for new players that is fine but add the other two older difficulty levels back.

    Logged in today, the channels are basically empty, during a masterplan and new update. Even though I saw the New Life update and thought I'd at least give New Rise a try. KNOWING FULL WELL IT WAS A TOTAL UNMITIGATED DISASTER MONTHS IN ADVANCE. Great going kr devs, we may yet get an End-of Service announcement.

    Or maybe, if they were actually smart they could roll out an emergency patch to undo this atrocity as soon as possible.

    -Game has been gutted
    -There is nothing to do
    -Economy has gone to the crapper
    -Mabinogi has become a Chore/Homework game
    -Long-term players are quitting like crazy
    -New Players are getting bored after 3 days, and quitting.
    -Shineseeker dungeon is actually a scam, a Kr player ran 10'000 runs and didn't get much of anything.
    -Neartite is the biggest flop of a system since Re:fined
    -NA Gm's went back on their promise and introduced more stringent account-wide limits on content, and even put Re:Fined on Avalon Purification, bottlenecking erg progress.
    -Game is bugged all to hell, connection errors for many users
    -Lack of side-content, Masterplan is a timer event now, and there's no interactive things to do.
    -Wait 30 minutes for expiring garbage
    -Lost Ark style Gear Levels
    -Lost Ark style boss dungeon
    -Lost Ark style Arcana Classes
    -Lost Ark style loot reward system
    -No one likes Lost Ark.


    AND SOON!

    -Atelier Gachapon system, synth your outfits at a 5% to 10% rate for outfits with more sparkles at the risk of booming them!

    Nexon Korea's live team has totally failed, not only their own playerbase, but that failure has propagated to North America, Japan and Taiwan in the coming weeks. All that hard work the community managers put in, and the Soul Streamers who spent hundreds of hours trying to get people to play Mabi. All went up in smoke and ashes the moment Kr came up with New Rise. What a total tragic waste. Someone on the Dev-team had better take accountability for the serious damage they did to the game. Wasn't it clear enough that this update was bad enough when it caused half of the Korean population to quit? Do the share-holders for NXC want the devs to make the game totally self-destructive? It is so infuriating that this is how Mabi wimpers out of existence before it can actually make one last try at success with the eternity project.

    I think I can kind of understand what they were getting at with this update but everything was implanted so terribly. I'm guessing this is some sort of stamina system to keep people from spending 24/7 raiding as the drops were so terrible it required actual 24/7 grinding but in order to compensate they also needed to boost the drop rates or the very least, give off a feeling of boosted drop rates.

    Shineseeker Orb would make sense if they were both 1) given out more and 2) more Shine dungeons like a Shine Ciar or something. Or better yet, something original to use them on. Maybe fighting a boss or something in those Shine dungeons.

    As for Neartite stones, they too would make sense if they weren't so limited. Only way you can salvage this mechanic is if they were given out like candy and again have more places you can use them on. This is pretty much my whole beef with this system. Too little dungeons and raids got revamped while we're still stuck with the forgotten crap raids people still need to farm stuff from that no one does anymore(Apostles, Mag Mel, Purification, Iria, Theater missions, Castle Dungeons).

    As for difficulty, its a mixed bag for me. Techs being turned into the new shadow missions I didn't mind much as I'm sick to death of running shadow missions all the time and hated all the Tech gimmicks like the dumb dps check in Faith, if anything they could have just separated techs into solo and a party version where the party version still keeps the original difficulty and solo is the easy short version but the biggest problems is there's never a reason to play on lower difficulty on anything in this game, so they probably just scrapped classic techs entirely. Really that's all a raid and dungeon really needs is 1 solo version and 1 party version where each can have their own weekly limits while both offering the same drops instead of all these several tiers of difficulty.

    Everything being dumbed down to the point where there's no difficulty in the game anymore except for maybe 2 or 3 raids is truly baffling to see though. I can solo most of the game with just my crap gears and only die to bosses gimmicks so I don't even see a reason to progress in my gears when pretty much 97% of the enemies and bosses in this game die like foxes.

    tl;dr
    Shineseeker Orb and Neartite mechanics are still salvageable but I'm being optimistic as I haven't seen Korea's future updates. I would think that if they truly are going all in on this system then the very least, they would have boosted more ways to get those 2 items and come up with more uses for them but I guess I'm probably dreaming on that idea.

    This it the biggest problem. The simple solution that I think almost everyone would be happy with would have been to increase drop rates. You could also reduce the crafting requirements (fewer materials needed). Finally, to add crafting materials to the crystal store like the pity coins from Crom and Glen, so that even if you have bad luck with the RNG and drops, you can at least make progress just by running them.

    Instead, everyone rolls the RNG dice for a rare drop a few times a day, gets 10-50 useless weapons they turn into crystals to buy more chances to roll the RNG dice and pray they hit the lottery at some point. Sure, it gets some decent weapons to newbies pretty quickly, but then what? Once they have a Purple Perseus in their 1-2 usual fighting classes, everything after is pretty much useless.

    Add to that, they reduced crafting materials, which will raise the prices on mats. At the same time, they removed checks from Techs and a lot of the gold per run on dungeons. So, higher costs and less income. It's stupid easy to get Purple Perseus gear now, and much harder to get anything better. It's all just luck.

    New Rise is terrible. Even if I hated the direction the game has been heading for years, the one saving grace was that new directors left old content alone so you could still play the game without interacting with things like Glenn Bearna. New Rise invalidated so many things and made so much gear more obsolete than just having a little less damage. It's hard to have faith in Eternity.
