with G28's tease I am sensing a familiar pattern... Final Fantasy 14's world was destroyed by a event that caused many things to happen, and I feel like Mabi is doing the same because we are due to get Eternity soon, so my thinking is what if this is just a reset of the world and everything in it? like Final Fantasy 14

    It is kind of similar except that the event in FF14 wiped out thousands of people and a lot of areas were destroyed. But in Mabinogi the world of Erinn is literally getting a rebirth of it's own. The towns and areas will look very similar with very small changes and most of the characters in Erinn are still alive like Duncan, Ferghus, Kristell and may others.

    Many map areas of Eorzea in FF14 were altered or just removed. However in Mabinogi most areas are staying and the changes to the maps are small. The level of change in FF14 was definitely more drastic cause the original FF14 before "A Realm Reborn," was a massive failure. So both lore wise and the technical changes to the game had a much bigger impact on FF14's world.
