A poll is for feedback/to see different opinions, typically out of curiosity. A petition is something to try and force or otherwise coerce Nexon/the staff to do something by way of sheer pressure, and while they used to be somewhat tolerated in the past, were abused by members and had a tendency to break out into fights— so they haven’t been allowed for a few years now.

To give a little insight on that thread Negumiko linked, the poll itself was innocuous. But it was the wording of the thread itself that led itself to being deemed a petition.

A more detailed definition can be found here, but basically as to why, there are complications that can arise from it, like confusion over events or already-resolved situations being brought back. It also just simply looks bad when someone brings back a 20-something page thread just to say “I love lamp”.

Yeah yeah, I know you guys rant about me in private chats and crap. "Oh there she goes again SIGH. I am so sick of her. Katherz can you please just ban her and be done with it? Please??" You guys just don't get it. You're in your little positions trying to control the forums and protect them. But you know what has gone down is complete bs. Getting names fixed and thus fixing guilds should of been their main priority when this problem arose.

I dunno what private chats you've been reading, but I honestly barely know who you are.

Fighter is the most satisfying to watch, but chain blade has that perfect mix of single-target, multi-target, defensive features, and status effects that make it a real powerhouse.
