The Death Of Mabi's Economy

I'm not sure if what I say applies as I'm from the Alexina server and the economy has always been stable in my opinion, even with this flood of gacha items, as well as bots selling cheap reforges etc. I started maybe 3-4 years ago, and I can remember clearly what it was like when I began, I loved doing dungeons as I enjoyed the slower paced and more tactical fighting style i.e. smash beats defence. I also had no idea on the value of items, so any kind of improvement was amazing for me, a lot of people just gave me stuff for free, I remember I got Dustin silver plate armor and two rainbow beam swords for nothing. But that's what you get if you have really strong players in the mix with newbies.

You're of an opinion that it's out of whack as a whole, but that's because you've seen before and after which is simply naive as it's the only thing you focus on. For a newbie starting out now it is still a long process. The fact you can get cheaper 'god tier' or whatever weapons gives players active realistic goals and keeps them playing.

I agree that the economy is supply and demand, people are not going to buy your crappy weapons because you need the gold.

I don't see gacha being sold as breaking the economy, but rather giving people who don't ptw a chance to get gacha items. Yes people make gold off selling gacha but for me I make all of mine via commercing / sms - as well as the base gold income you get from it, I could sell pianos/harps/limited stock ducat stuff or I could sell mats I get from elite missions. I can get good gacha items and not use my cash to get rng gacha woohoo.

I don't really get your point about Demonics, personally I've never really seen a need for them while leveling, and you can buy beam swords for what 600k per? and there's still a market for Gloomy's. As more of buyer rather than seller I love the fact that I can get this stuff cheaper, such as demonic lances for 100k. While more common weapons are basically trash I feel like they've responded to this this in a way with demonic weapon rentals.

Would you rather work up slowly from trash weapon to god weapon, or just get a god weapon straight up? Honestly, once you have a strong wep there's a further endgame which is to reforge, considering where we are now with people soloing phantasm I think the new players need as much help as they can get.

The economy is adapting, not failing. Adapting to the fact there's super strong players!!

On a final point, to make those items craftable, I dont think putting gacha in hm dungeons solves the problem, I think the same people who gacha will just do that too. An example of it working quite well was that Tribal bird robe, the mats could be farmed from Alby normal given enough times, maybe something like that again?

You might hate me for saying it but maybe consider swapping to Alexina if you want a more stable economy.

The reason why mid~high tier weapons died is because
    1. How this game's upgrading system works
    2. There are better substitutes
For example, most players use crk as 1h sword. But how about people who can't afford them? Would they upgrade and use lower tier items? No, it's too much trouble (proffing, upgrading, special upgrading, enchanting, reforging?anyone that can afford reforging would probably can afford crk too), and it probably won't even sell unless it's cheap because people who have money will go for celtic weapons. There's too much 'work' to put in an item to make it use-able. And that work, in my opinion, isn't worth it unless it's 'god-tier' items. So what do people do? There are substitutes called beam sword....from gacha. No upgrades needed, decent damage, and affordable. Also it can be resold without using trade unlocks.

When I was a newbie, I would see people buying backbreaking burn for 100m. It was only from white dragon raids, and the price says that its very, very rare. But when backbreaking enchant got released in a gacha, it dropped to 25~20m. When it got released again, it became 7~8m.
Same goes with finest falias treasures. They would be very uncommon without gacha releasing them. There were days when hot air balloon was considered 'profitable', until gacha released 1 rank hawk enchanted shoes. Succubus bodywear from MA used to be rare outfit, until gacha released them. Awakened and successor used to be end game acc enchants (excluding pre enchanted fierce accs) until haunted and creepy got released gacha-exclusive.

What I want to say is, game relies on gacha too much, and in game method of obtaining those (rare enchants, finest falias treasures, etc) rare stuffs are just absurdly low chance, or there's no way of obtaining it elsewhere(haunted, creepy, spooky, eerie). So people just want gachas to release em. "It's going to take a lot of effort to get it, so why not wait until gacha releases them?" "Why should I run this 100000000 times when gacha gives it already?" At this point, game's economy cannot survive without gachas.

I don't think gachas should be stopped. Companies need to make money somehow. However I think they should stop releasing items that takes player's effort to obtain in game, and raise rate of obtaining them through game so people would run actual game contents.
Also gacha items should be fashion exclusive, or items that are already in cash shops, not anything power related. But if they can't do that, at least raise the rates of obtaining those 'rare items' in game.
