Refreshing expired Erg crystal?

Does anyone know if we have to use all the erg coupons before the maintainence? If not, can we use the coupons on an expired erg crystal, meaning we can basically keep it indefinetly?

    You can keep the Erg Booster coupons past maintenance. I think if your Erg Booster Crystal expires, the coupons will only give 5 AP apiece.
