So, I recently decided to do a test thanks to all the recent events that made getting pets up to level 200 pretty easy, which do you think has better stats?;
A Champion Transformed Borzoi that is under Rank 1 Divine Link for as large of a Stat buff as Possible in its favor,
or,
The free Scooter Imp from the Dungeon Guide with no outside assistance whatsoever.

Uh.. spoiler?: The Scooter Imp has better stats in pretty much every area. At least for me.

I don't even have the really good limited pets, since I was gone for so long (such as the Ceraunus or Cwn Annwn), so I can't even comment on how much better those'll be in comparison to my ancient as heck gimmick pet that can't even transform without me transforming first. The Scooter Imp is something that can be gotten for free from the dungeon guide and a bit of effort, and is outright in the top 3 best pets I have, the other contenders being from the recent events. And that isn't even considering the fact that it passively debuffs nearby enemies to have lower Def & Protection (If I actually had good gear for that, instead of mostly relying on the crutch of Magic.. it'd be my best pet).

Older pets absolutely need to, at the very least, be brought closer to the bar of pets like the Scooter Imp, so that the temptation to fuse them into modern pets like the Scooter Imp, Fallen Fairy or Purrling isn't as nearly as strong as it currently is for that time increase on the better pets. It'd also be nice if Gimmick Pets like the Borzoi with transformation abilities were able to Transform on their own without requiring a player with their specific Paladin/Dark Knight transformation to channel their power into the pet first. A champion Borzoi at level 200 (age 1) only gets like, 98 HP, 45 MP, 180 Stamina, 50 Str, 50 Dex & 10 Will. Let the dog do it for you! and maybe give it a buff.

Jokes aside, and long story short.. give older pets a buff, I know pets in general got a buff at some point with higher rank skills, and the ability to learn them sooner.. but the stats of older pets were not adjusted to be even close to ye-modern pets of this day and age, Let alone the seriously OP Scooter Imp.. not even the Bone Dragon.. their stats are behind the Mir Dragon, which for some reason has lower stats than the Bone Dragon, which I'm pretty sure came out before it? At least let old pets be around Mir Dragon comparable base stats without any Fynni Shenanigans that may or may not be able to make any pet busted OP and completely invalidate this entire post? I mean, Majority of pets don't have useful abilities like Def/Prot lowering.. and without being level 200 from age 1 are kinda.. not really in the running for "Gets summoned for content".
