How long until the director is replaced?
In the recent "Mabinogi Connect" stream in Korea on February 10th 2026, Director Choi Dongmin introduced the new Content Manager for Mabinogi. In the past the content manager has always been the hierarchical replacement for the current acting director. This was the case with Director Park passing the role over to Director Min, and then Director Min to Director Choi. The new Content Manager "Kang-Min Seok" was introduced in the stream, and presented for 6 hours along with Director Choi to a very angry kr player audience who felt quite frankly betrayed and belittled by the current director who disregarded feedback to basically lay down a very shaky future for mabinogi under his leadership.
The biggest question is this: With a successor to the role chosen, when will Dongmin Choi step down as Director? Will Content Manager Kang-Min Seok be given the role in the near future to turn this horrible disaster of a year around? We need to have confidence that mabi will survive until Mabinogi Eternity arrives, which is also a great concern in the Korean server according to the stream's points of interest as logged on

Mabinogi has suffered greatly from the New Rise, and New Life updates, and these "Mabinogi Connect" streams are not helping, but are fanning an ever present discouragement of the bottom line (the players). Reading through the chat and comments, it's very clear alot of players are quitting after feeling betrayed, told to wait, or are having their feedback disregarded completely despite these streams being a way to communicate with players.
