    I asked about that during the broadcast, they didn't really know the answer. The issue will be with same items on the same account but in the dressing rooms of different servers. You would need to remove any extra ones and place them on a pet say. A single copy can remain as long as there is no duplicate.

    Because its only a partial merge its a sloppy mess: the name change solution for duplicates is a messy kludge and during the broadcast there were a number of things mentioned that WE would have to do ahead of time. Making US work is a sloppy way to fix up a solution.

    Personally I'd accept a delay in a merge implementation if it could be a complete merge and done correctly.

    This is the key point of the whole shebang. The main thing about cloud services is that they are scalable. What this means is if you've gone as far as you can with qualitative improvements, to improve service or add functionality, then scalability allows you to apply quantitative improvements; and it's so much easier to "add more" than to "make better".
