Wait what?
I came here after failing 5 times and idk.... I think i will pass this one and buy the title & subaru clothings if possible.
I will NOT deal with this kind of (insert unholy word here) now unless is a weekend.
Sorry. I wasn't thinking.
You're welcome.
This is screen punching inducing bs. Holy hell. I think I will have to stop playing this event for sake of my own health. I am so freaking pissed. Every time I lose it's because I keep getting separated from Subaru from all the agro. It bleeping makes me yell. I don't even do that in phantasm. That's saying something.
Nexon fix this bs. This event is not fun. This is by far the most infuriating event. I wanna slap the guy who decided to make this part like trying to pass a bleeping dan test. That's not what you do to events!!!
Good luck. Don't exspect to win you dingus.
Another sign of bad game design I guess. That's a trend.
As always, anytime the game tends to screw with me with unreasonable mechanics, I have 0 problem screwing it right back. Running away so far has yielded 100% success rate, as opposed to trying to fight (With my innate lag), 45% success.
Heads up for devs in the future :
-Never Ever Ever shuffle a player's skills from it's expectation. That's a cheap and dirty trick. Especially if you dont give them time to react.
-Leave your players some breathing room, let the world render and let them position themselves before dropping mobs on them, or atleast delay their aggro.
-I mean really... Wolves are part of the story that's fine, but since the missions take place at night, it's sometime hard to differentiate the two sizes, I often use the wrong skill on the wrong wolf, which turns into an automatic fail because I'm then pushed back too far. One type of enemy was enough, especially when you mass spawn them.
PS : Actually be careful with the running away method. It appears that the quest autofails if too many Ulgarms spawn, at the Same spot. I've noted it happens fairly regularly if you move away too quickly, and the first spawn doesn't have the time to scatter.

Just like any escort mission in the game.
Your method reminds me of the one some people used for that mission in G19 where the soldiers are all dying to the crystal bears.
Well, time to get that Ram and Rem Chair, only gotta run it like... 50-ish times, yeesh.
Yeah well that's opposed to like winning 1 out of 5 times BY fighting. I can actually calm down and run away and win more. The battle itself was a bad design, but the fact you can run away and succeed is also bad design.
I took a video of myself doing this just a few ago, and this is on channel 4 in Mari which in my opinion is one of the fastest channels, aggro wise.

-Edit, 2nd time- I'm US east coast btw, forgot to mention that.
If a player actor (A pet, or Any player) is not in view, then Monsters and NPCs will not act at all. Neither move nor fight. Monsters view range varies and is not the same for all. Mimics have none, White Spiders have a very short one for example. It's also different than Aggro range.
That mission however has a hidden autofail mechanic when too many monsters spawn at once. So I recommend getting slowly close enough to draw in a few ulgarms to attack Subaru enough that he's pushed out of the main group, and kill those, to avoid the mission failling.
It appears to succeed even if you kill like 3 during those mass spawns. So an alternative is to wait for the clock to tick on (wait till it's at around 0:45 mins elapsed time, then go and kill a few. Normally Subaru will be able to survive, if only due to the fact that when he's pushed back, he wont be taking damage, even if it's from 80 Ulgarms.
Real talk now Nexon. Too Many Ulgarms.
