Trending on social media is #VideogamesAreNotToBlame as American politicians try to deflect the blame of the cause of the tragedies over the weekend.

They don't even blame guns as the issue, they say it's people. The infamous saying "Guns don't kill people, people kill people":
And of course spread the blame to other industries that don't give them lobbying benefits, like social media and video games.

To be fair though, the statement that "violence is glorified" does kinda have some truth, considering what all's been popular anymore. Not saying its a cause, buuuuut it is kind of a thing.

Just a little tweaks and taking bits from everywhere, and scapegoating is possible.

Similar to the saying "Lawyers don't sue people, people sue people".

YongYea's video about politicians blaming video games for mass shootings.

At the end, he mentions that people in Japan need to pass psychology exams and background checks in order for them to own a gun. This is also a case in Lithuania and many other countries as well. USA's government needs to realize this an any other USA citizen too if they haven't already. They need more strict gun control or the problem will persist.

All countries that have a higher rate of gun violence, not just the US.

I was reading an article yesterday about guns in Switzerland. Almost everyone, especially men in Switzerland have a gun due to mandatory military service. Normal carry of guns there is illegal unless the person passes strict exams to carry a gun outside. Hunting guns also need to have a special permits. Guns cannot be loaded until transported to the destination of use. They say that there is gun violence in Switzerland, but the proportion of homicides is very low versus suicides by gun.

Swiss laws and culture are a decent example of why they don't have many mass shootings. It all comes down to discipline and responsibility.

Honestly, i never heard about any mass shootings in Lithuania ever happening (from civilians of course). Same goes for other neighbouring countries like Poland, Latvia, Estonia, etc. It would have been big enough for us to see in news if it ever happened.

I think Norway has had them, but it is a rare phenomonon in Europe. With tighter gun laws and living in the aftermatch of the two biggest wars ever, which occured there, it's not surprising that this is the case.

This is a thread that doesn't end, yes it goes on and on my friends. Some people started posted on it not knowing what it was, and they'll continue posting forever just because this is the thread that doesn't end, yes it goes on and on my friends...

So RIP Twitch and your so called ToS, you're already on the chopping block for a potential lawsuit.
One slip up like this, and anyone can kiss their profits goodbye.
I'd say it sucks to be them right now, but hey. They're the ones ruining their own image, and all the press has to do is point and laugh.
