I just wanted to start a thread about the current state of Mabinogi Streams. Our plan is to have both Future Content Streams and Community Streams.
Future Content Streams
-Run on the test server
-Goal is to go over all the new content
-Go over patch notes
-Answer questions
Community Streams
-Run on liver servers
-Goal is to interact with the community, run dungeons, and do participate in events
-Answer Questions
In both streams we will also highlight Forum contests, share stories, and have some cool giveaways. The reason I started this thread is to ask if you have any ideas for the streams. Obviously we won't be able to do everything but, we will do our best to implement things you guys really want to see. So whatcha got?
You might have seen me throw up a few posts over the past week and wondered who is this new guy. My name is Saygo and I am very excited to be the new Community Manager for Mabinogi. Here is a little background on me:
- I have been a community manager at Nexon for 2 years
- I have worked on Dragon Nest and am currently the community manager for Vindictus
- I believe that a strong community stems from communication between the game team and its players
- I enjoy forum contests and really showcasing how awesome the community really is
- In my spare time I enjoy watching anime, cooking, and baking
As far as my background in Mabinogi. I only started playing and just got through Generation 1 (I would have done it faster but I had to come to terms with the whole Tarlach situation). I am really getting into the story and gameplay mechanics. The talent I chose was Close Combat but I want to rebirth after level 100 and go into Puppeteer.
I feel that if I write more that it'll get too long and people won't read this. I'm sure some of you will have some questions so I will do my best to respond to any and all. With that said...
Please be aware that on Thursday, March 16th, as part of a scheduled maintenance, we will be discontinuing the ability to directly launch the Mabinogi client via the Mabinogi.exe file within your Mabinogi game folder.
We are fully focusing on Nexon Launcher as the means to download and update most of our games going forward. Nexon Launcher is a unified central location for accessing all of Nexon's games. It automatically keeps your game client up-to-date by updating in the background, even if you're playing Mabinogi or another Nexon game.
The majority of our players are already using Nexon Launcher, and by discontinuing the older systems including direct launch, we will be able to focus our attention on making improvements to Nexon Launcher and providing a smoother patch experience for all of our upcoming updates.
