As I said before in a different post: 70% of all players don't read game news for events or maintenance.
I knew since the beginning of the event that it will expire in 3 days because I read the announcement. Now, people see that it can expire and they get all bitter about it.

Giant Potatoes drop rate is .99%, essentially one percent. Plop on top of the 65% success rate, its an average of a giant potato every 171 gathers. Rare it is. Just keep digging. Put on the Diligent title to psyche yourself. Use Harvest Song (+5% gather success at rank 4).At least you only need 34 (or 17) giant potatoes and not something like 200 (I'm looking at you Meteor Strike's Hit a Dragon).

Alexinia having busy and even a red full channels on weekends makes me envious as a Tarlach player. Merge please. And how about a "reserve your character's names" things say 3 months before the merge to avoid that problem.

On rank 1, its a 15% bonus on top of the 50% base success rate. Just because failing many times in a row is improbable, it is still possible. It just stands out from many many gathers. Its kinda like saying "I succeeded ten times in a row, its almost like I cannot fail".
