There seems to be a problem regarding letting my friends use my facilities on my island, as when I invited my friend over to help craft with the permissions of only friends being able to use my facilities, it didn't work. I then set it so ANYBODY could use my facilities and that allowed them to do it. Could someone please look into this? Thanks!
I agree that something needs to be changed. I think it's ridiculous you only get 30 points per Astral Reave without it killing, and having enemies tanky enough that it takes 2-4 Astral Reaves to kill, and enemies that take 1-2 at best, with no way to NOT have Orbital Pulse crit is ridiculous. I literally reset my skills to turn my crit mastery to F to attempt to not crit and just weaken the enemies, but that just didn't work. I personally have given up because the conditions are so ridiculous. It should be a mastery of using the skills given to you, not praying luck is on your side for crits.
I didn't know about all of these cases, and I completely agree that the arachnophobia mode needs the changes you all are talking about. My main concern is something along the lines of "why make an accessibility option an 2x2 item?" If someone is particularly strapped for inventory space, they realistically have to choose between their own comfort or 4 spots of inventory that could be used for anything else. Just make it an option.
If they want to integrate the feature into the game like other quests and items, just make an NPC like the game currently has go "HI HI you wanna go into this dungeon? OH cool but it's scary in there cause I can't deal with spiders so I do this -" and proceed to give you a tutorial on how to access the games accessibility options. I think that would be helpful because I know, REGARDLESS of if I NEED accessibility options or not, I just never opened the options menu for anything. Having an NPC that could point you towards the option as well as take you through various accessibility settings without outright pointing them out would be nice.
It's not like NPCs don't already break the fourth wall for no good reason. NPCs like Lorna or Blaanid will tell you how to open menus and interfaces already. Besides, for people like me who may not always think about opening the options in the first place, there are many options that help with performance that you may not even see because you're more preoccupied with actively playing the game. I know for a long time on my old computer I didn't even know there were options to keep players from displaying fully if they weren't in your party. An implementation like this would help contribute to the average player being more aware of the gameplay options they have in the first place, especially if they end up adding more potential accessibility features, this would future proof the options if there was a section dedicated to it.
The consideration is nice and all, but clearly it doesn't take into consideration enough use cases and enemies when people can't participate in Jam sessions in peace...
