As you said yourself, NA's purchase habits won't truly affect how Korea will ship stuff here. A complete and actual boycott of buying gacha here will accomplish nothing but shooting Nexon NA in the foot.

The closet comparison I can make is children looking up to famous role-models in real life and wanting to do/have stuff like them. Kids (and some adults) want things solely because they saw someone else they like owning them, and that probably applies to the wing infatuation.

I really like how they did the first set of three skills. The grind really wasn't that bad (once you got past spawn camping that was happening during the release hype) and it kinda validated people opening dead end chests again.
The second set of skills, however, is just a glorified attention draw to the Baltane Missions. Like they're cool and all, but I really do not like having to farm RNG drops in a mission that has a time constraint on re-entry. It's a time wall rather than a proper progression wall like dungeon passes are for all the other skills with pages.
Overall: This is good for people who've been playing the game a while, but not for the beginners they are pushing this talent at.

Jesus Christ who thought it was a good idea to make a talent where half the skills are locked behind RNG walls in mid-game content should be a "Starter Talent?" Cause it ain't. 7/10

I find running short and quick shadow missions to be most effective. If you can get a few friends together, a half hour of Conflict! easy spam can net you all a few passes each, more if you pool keys together so that you all get passes eventually.

You aren't forced to hunt field monsters for shock though. Every page that has a field spawn drop also has a shadow mission drop location. The dorcha crystals that have monster drops are exclusively field monsters with no instanced spawning available to the player.
