    there are many reasons and probably better reasons to have a merge
    but the merge only happened recently and it's too early to judge how good or bad it is
    most of us are still adjusting to it
    there are those who go through an experimental change
    and those that envy and feel they've been left out of the picture

    I don't think we can do anything about our lost reforges unfortunately. You might be able to try a support ticket but I've heard that support doesn't normally replace reforges, items in particular colors, etc.

    Which is sad, because this issue is 100% Nexon's fault. The least they could be bothered to do is try to fix it.

    If your name got a server tag forced onto it, you get free Name Change coupons.

    Name Change, when implemented, will allow those who had the original serverless variant to duke it out, during a small grace period.

    After the small grace period, the name, assuming it still isn't claimed, will be a free-for-all.

    Others, if they have the server tag variant, they can keep it with the server tag.

    Are name change requests dealt with automatically or by Nexon staff? If it's staff I doubt there will be an issue of changing letter cases, as long as there are no lower case letters before the uppercase letter(s).

    Yes. At the moment, if "Bob", for example, got a server tag, then "Bob" without the server tag cannot be claimed by ANYONE until the Name Change Feature.

    Once the Name Change Feature is added, there will be a grace period where only the accounts that HAD the plain, serverless "Bob" can claim it; any other accounts will still not be able to claim it. So, at that point, its a battle-royale between whoever had "Bob".

    After the grace period, if none of the original "Bob"s have claimed "Bob", then "Bob" will be claimable by anyone.
