The premise might be depressing but that makes the goal of helping her become independent that much more uplifting, don't you think?

Maybe so, but her parents did just decide they didn't want her anymore :)). The idea of helping her grow is nice but she is still unwanted.

As long as she doesn't turn out Tarlach- or Ruairi-like, I'll consider it a win.

    Gods I hate those two.

Well you can get ap potions...but that's pretty much it.

Other than that I think this event is just another time waster. Albeit the most depressing one ever.

I suppose you could be right but it's hard to tell it takes 15 actual days to complete the "Dream Girl" questline before whatever
secret quest comes up though if Nexon is kind and lets her be a free partner then it would be more than worth it.

If there was supposed to be an additional event it would be indicated a little more obviously with much more information...at least a little more information if there was.

Ummmm...tbh I am curious as well. Perhaps we can get some more information from the Gm's?

After doing the 2nd day of the Life Skill path, it ending on "Someone bursts through the door, interrupting Fraser. Things are about to get interesting!"...

I could practically hear the "Next Time On Mabinogi!", lmao.

I have to admit, I'm interested in where this goes.

after finishing one of the tasks 5 times (in my case cooking) you get a letter from Alyn that can only be opened in your homestead which has one of the 2nd titles depending on which of one of the career paths you just finished and a homestead item which is a 1x1 portrait of Alyn.

In my case i did (combat lessons) and got a portrait of her for my hs
but I dont think we will get same thing for another set of quest
once you install the portrait and use it you will see this window:
    [img][/img]CjbWfk4.png
so i think completing the second set of quest will give some thing else
and unlock another option in the portrait
im still hoping that in the end once all the sets of quests are completed
we get to keep her as a free partner

Headcanon: Alyn's parents didn't intentionally abandon her. They were merchants who left her at home while they made a routine trip, but were attacked and murdered by bandits. And if she's given combat lessons and joins the royal guard, you'll eventually get a quest where you help her track down the outlaw who led the attack and avenge them.

"Hello. My name is Alyn. You killed my parents. Prepare to die!"

well the world of Erinn is set in medieval times basically. there are far worst worst things that could happen to her then getting a job offer at a bar/night club in a town surrounded by paladins that believe in justice and religion. in irl in our current time then yes it would be considered creepy and uncomfortable but Alyn is not from our world or time, things were different back then. getting a job offer at a bar in Cobh would actually be worst cause of all the fishermen and pirates in a side town with no guards or obvious pathway leading to it. probably nobody would care much what happens her in a situation like that.

^ im not going to open the spoiler since I want to experience it for myself, but i'm guessing the spoiler is something totally natural or benign to most people and possibly brings back traumatic memories for others. I'll be back in 5 days to see if I was right or wrong.

I did the life skill path first. Was fun.

    Spoiler on the quests
1st and 2nd quests, talk to Farser and collect 15 eggs
3rd and 4th quests, talk to Gordon and make 2 T-bone steak

    Last quests
Talk to Gordon and organize a dinner for guests.
