So i was right, there was no technical issue. Just lack of skills. I knew what skiing was, but i totally forgot we had such quest, since it's Saga II. Never doing that one again lol.

Honestly, i suggest ignoring Saga II cause it's trash in every way possible. If you really want that extra AP and achievement in your diary then yeah, it's time to suffer for pretty much just that.

It's an educated guess, dude probably doesn't know how to skid on turns WHICH BTW I INITIALLY POINTED OUT IN THE BEGINNING OF THIS THREAD BECAUSE IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM. I do admit I was BEING LAZIER THAN NOOBODYZXZ. But hey it's not like we don't have a WIKI for this stuff!

i was going to comment where the heck we did skiing the saga but i felt like i'd end up looking stupid (never did Saga II)

i feel.. deja vu from this
i must of been stupid about something like this before

I did Saga II long ago when it was added. The story was boring, quests were tedious or just annoying to do. I barely remember anything from it.

And this is exactly why the Mabingoi community has gone down hill. No. I'm not a good player. I'm a returning player asking for help with something I've been stuck on for a very long time. Telling me to "get good" isn't very helpful. In fact it's aggrevating. Trolling. Rude. Call it whatever you want to call it. It doens't help me in any way, so maybe it would be better left unsaid to begin with.

And maybe I would be better off not wasting my time to come back. Such a shame. I love the game, but I really hate the community.

You are absolutely right. That's why I never bother reading replies to things I post, it's the same people saying bs to gain attention anyway. Or maybe that bs is their opinion? Either way, better not to bother with the forums. Too much trash and not enough friendliness/help here.

If you never bother to read then why post?

I'm going to tell you right now, this is not a safe place. When you participate in here you will be subject to other people's opinions and those opinions might not be agreeable. So if you lack tolerance to opposing opinions you might want to return to tumblr or somewhere else where such places exist.

Otherwise we welcome everyone here and have fun while doing so. Thanks.

Cries about others being trash while also being trash themselves. You should have shown us example how humble you need to be when you are getting "trolled" and so on instead of getting too sensitive over a single sassy joke and showing your trashiness as well by declaring that everyone are toxic because of few "trolls". Bruh, people are so sensitive nowadays, can't joke or be sarcastic anymore.

The above defines exactly what is happening around the world right now.

I wouldn't have put it quite like that, but Crimson has a point. We can't tell you what to do differently if we can't see what you're doing. A video would really help.
The best we can do is give you shot-in-the-dark advice like the one I gave you.

Is your "Range of Vision" in options set to maximum?

My anger was in no way directed to you at all, by the way. I thought your post was an true attempt to help. I though I liked it actually, or marked it insightful, so thank you.

I was going to comment on this few days ago but I got lazy and assumed OP will figure it out
and then the confusions has began and I'm just laughing as sort of read through (Im still lazy as fudge)
and I had an Idea to add fuel to the flames and and leave a good but confusing advise like
"turn left to go right and vise versa" (nothing else other than that)
but then I felt sorry for the new guy, maybe he will end up feeling that the community just wants to troll him or something

SO I WILL DO SOME SORT OF DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS, SO READ AND TRY TO UNDERSTAND IT PLEASE (OMFG I'm stll feeling so lazy)

the ski minigame has a drifting mechanics and its best to take advantage of it

Controls: W,A,S,D keys and the spacebar.
    W makes you ski faster
    A turns you left
    S slows you down
    D turns you right
Press the spacebar with A or D to perform a power slide. (power slide is kind of like drifting)

(and no the turn left to go right doesnt apply here)
(Im not even sure why I wanted to put that here but the scene from cars gave me the idea so, uhhh , moving on)
(I was actually going to write the controls functions but I got lazy so I just copied the one from wiki)
pressing space bar will slowdown ur foreward movement but speeds ur turning movement
having ur right hand on ur mouse (left if ur a lefty and arranged ur pc that way) while pressing right mouse button
and turning the camera angle also helps (not sure about others but it help me just give it a try)

so basically pressing space makes ur character rotate faster but .dont press too long or u will stop
it may take some practice to get used to so just keep practicing
might end up a good preparation just incase we get another winter sports event

if ur confused the words in parenthesis are my monologues and additional words

Thank you. This was helpful. I understand the basics of skiing. The problem that I'm having is that I can't turn the mouse to see where the bad guy's going next. He gets too far away and I auto fail. I thought that there used to be some setting in the graphics that would allow you to zoom all the way in so that you're looking at the screen as if you are the actual character, if that makes sense. Either that or a way to adjust the camera.

Mabinogi has a built-in screen recorder feature. You can find it on the right of the bottom-bar in the popup menu thing. Before entering the mission activate it and try the mission while recording. Don't ask why, just do it.

I'm asking why. Why do you want to record while doing that quest?

The record function was an odd work around to negate server lag.

No info, no video. I have zero idea about which quest OP is talking about. The dude tried to help with a really weird method, also without any info or video. Might as well say whatever since no one can't help you with so little information.

So next time if you don't know how to help, maybe you should just not post. Or maybe ask what I was talking about.

I get that people skip boring things & yeah Saga is trash now, but it was new content back then. The reason I'm trying to complete it so that I can talk to Berched for the new spirit weapon update. Saga starts with Berched being gone & apparently he doesn't come back until you finish Saga.

Your comment to "get good" wasn't sassy or funny. It was straight up trolling. You have to make fun of someone else to feel good about yourself. And then you get mad when you get called out on it. You're not the only troll, so I guess that's something to be proud of.

You should be able to use your mouse to see where you are going. Again, I feel like you are still doing something wrong and don't know all the controls within mabi.

u mean first person view, nope mabinogi doesnt have that
the closest u can zoom into ur character is either through "dressing room" or "screen capture/screen shot" functions

So next time you want to post a rant, make it a single post.
