Since you decided to put the topic to rest, I decided to give my last comment here.
You mentioned something about how my skills loaded so fast. Honestly, this is how they have always loaded for me, with the only exception being server lag while on the market channel. My net is just fast.
From the sounds of it, you play with a decent amount of lag. This might actually explain why the RP in question appeared harder than it did. Melee combat is very smooth and easy to use with small amounts of lag.
Kind of amusing that the entire issue was barely related to the gameplay itself. Just lag issues.
