@Anemki Thanks for the props. I must admit I actually liked yours and @Mey 's better. The composition was a tighter shot and appealed to me a bit more than my more landscaped image. I also love how you're in the honeycomb beneath a piece of honeycomb. I like the motif.
@LittleCeci I think, I'll nab the white and black dye if that is all right. My Significant Other managed to pull an outfit I've been pining for before it was even installed in the NA game. I'll post it when it's finished. In the mean time thanks for this contest--it was fun.
And on the note of Spring, I was doing some spring cleaning in Mabi not too long ago, and found I was old enough to wear the dress I go married in Mabi in. I decided to pull it out, and with the Portia pose it looks super adorable.
@LittleCecil omg I woke up to this adorableness. With the hood up and that pose soooo cute. >< You are right about the gold in some ways I think too. The two hues do blend a little in certain lighting. However, there are some angles in these photos where the gold stands out as a striking little Easter egg against your light pallet. It's quite charming, I think.
@ Anemiki The Argenta dress looks very striking in those colors. I'm a fan of how you've dyed it.
As an aside, I felt like knighting it up recently, now that I finally have acquired the gloves to this set.
Been replaying through g1-g3 passively again, and found my desire to be a warrior again, as opposed to a spell blade. Thought the armor was fitting for that.
@Nevine Now that's a brilliant use of the justice shoes. I never even thought to pair them together with my Eluned's Alchemist suit. It works so well in those colors too.
@LittleCeci You're puppet theater came out very well. I have to agree that dying the coat brown was a good choice.
Man, am I so ready for winter to be over and spring and summer to start. Warm weather is my favorite thing. It lets me go out and bike and hike. Which is why I've been running around Mabi in an outfit I've been sitting on for a while, because I just couldn't decide what to wear with it. Then I acquired some shoes and my first partner on Mabi. I think I'll rock this until spring is in full swing.
Outfit: Millia's Costume (sporting a lovely purple I don't normally rock, but this costume has opened my eyes to it)
Shoes: Battleborn shoes (whose lavender color I think makes for a softer transition from the pink than a deep purple would)
Gloves: Bandle of the Far East
Headgear: William's glasses.
The frisky feline in the picture is a guildmate(in spirit) and close friend, Kanami. I had their permission to include the picture. They invaded my homestead and the framing of their accessory and my get up was just to perfect to pass up on.
Description: Winter for me is always a time to snuggle up in the warmest thing possible, and scarves. For me, Kuon's outfit has always looked too warm to where in any environment outside winter. From the long sleeves to the high collar and scarf like wrap around the top, it radiates warmth.
The pirate woodworker boots are pretty multi-purpose as far as footwear goes. With the Kuon, I feel they look thicker than normal, and feel more practical for winter travel. Heels are a girl's worst enemy when snow and ice mix together. That aside, I feel the color works well with the theme of the outfit. The popo hat works to tie the outfit to my hair, and my hair ties the outfit--via the scarf--to me. It flows well, I think.
Aside: I don't post things often, but I do enjoy fashion. Now that my dear friend, Kitsuyasha, has pointed this place out to me, maybe that will change. I've looked through these ten pages several times by this point, and I have to say everyone is lovely and friendly. Thanks for having this here.
Aside 2: I cropped the image to be a tighter shot on the outfit itself, and blurred the edges a bit to give more focus on the outfit itself. I didn't go as crazy as I would normally like to with such a thing, to keep the base image in tact. I hope to get to know everyone a bit more.
