  • More Balanced Elves?

That's fine but you are not reaching your full potential as an elf in combat. That doesn't mean you're not a perfectly competent and useful party member & player. But I don't need to watch any videos to pop my 15 minute duration (out of every 36 minutes), 400% aiming buff (a total gamechanger that you're seemingly trying to downplay) and tear stuff up in a way that the other two races can't. I can now contribute something to a party uniquely as an elf player, and I don't see how you don't understand how this affects mounted play as well.

It seems like the real problem here is that you don't want to be an archer, and I do join you in hoping for some sort of Elf exclusive magic perks. The race was always meant to excel in magic as well, and I don't deny that. But if it's too large, then there will be a backlash from Human and Giant players who have invested a lot into magic. I'm all ears if anyone has ideas for an elf magic buff that manages to avoid that outcome.

That's what you think though. While you pop your 15 minute duration of VoL every 36 mins I just n+blaze everything and firebolt/SS+impale bosses.
We all have our own ways of playing the game, but you have no right to come here and tell people that they aren't serious combat-wise because they don't use archery.
I didn't say that VoL doesn't affect mounted play, it's just that it's exactly the same, just 4x faster.
FYI, that "Potential" that you are talking about (mag/cs spam) needs tons of gold/investment to even be relevant.

and that 400% aiming speed boost has been pivotal in our ability to finally kite effectively with our mounted archery.

The elf archer "cs/magnum bot-like spam" comments being made ITT come off as pure bitterness. And I think you're being pretty disrespectful to elf players like myself who wanted to play Elf archer from day 1. We're not bandwagoners and you're trying hard to put us down as such.

I have found elf archer to be an extremely dynamic playstyle, especially as of late. Between magnum shot as my main damage source, crash shot, kiting (with and without mounts), final shot (another powerful elf exclusive archer skill that you have not brought up that stacks with VoL for 0 aiming time ranged play) compounded with death marks debuffs from my secondary weapon and chain skill crowd control.

I don't expect everyone to pay for the extra equipment slots but combine all that with keeping my party buffed on my extra set swap (Tuan being up most of the time for mounted archery) and I don't find myself to be a spammer or bot-like at all.

so in your opinion its full potential because no other race can spam archery as fast? I don't think that qualifies as the ONLY way to be serious combat wise or full potential it just one of the ways elves can be good, being unique doesn't equate to maximum effectiveness and its hardly an argument since you're comparing oranges and apples here. Magic,Chain,Archery can all be an elfs max potential and archery being able to shoot faster or mounted archery making elf archer unique DOESN'T make it the absolute and ONLY way to reach an elfs "max potential"

False. Shenon title was also obtainable through Samhain Event in shop for 20 S coins. And the event was back in 2016 and 2017. So it's only been like one year from last time event happened.

Ok I still won't change my opinion just because you proved one of my points wrong. Also I'm pretty sure most people bought the more important items with their coins.... like the birman bag coupons and the Sion and Shenon Friends Forever 2nd Title Coupon
Lul the samhain event was spammable enough that you can pretty much get everything from it, and still has enough coins left to sell the event items. I made like 30m++ from selling the event items iirc. If I didn’t have finals at the time, I could’ve spam more and get more coins.

both of you are kind of missing the point that or you just want to point out that rewards are similar ( meaning maybe you're not missing the point but want to shift the convo to something else), anyways back in 2016 when I still had my account new and fresh since I forgot how to login to my old account. During that 2016 samhain event the best I had was archery and not much else training. Being an elf archer meant that I was super squishy with no other skills trained especially bad when the waves of cobweb mummies appeared. Only thing I could hope for was the hot time events to get coins. of course now I have the means to steamroll samhain event, but not then and that was before potential system even got introduced.

This event is still helpful to new players or players who didn't have the means to get a fishing title from previous events. Of course veterans really don't have much to gain from this event, but nexon can't please everyone, and this seems apparent in a lot of games actually where they sometimes cant please veterans or newer players, those who play very actively ( almost everyday) to who casually play ( maybe login weekly monthly, etc ). Also the samhain event came back about half duration for the timed rebirth pot event so still people wouldn't gotten enough AP in that event to train to do samhain if they were barely new, yes there was that fiasco where the rb pots didn't disappear by the double rainbow but a lot of people didn't expect that.

To conclude yeah this event is probably worth even less to some veteran players and maybe even some new players its not worth thier time but this event still has items for some people no matter what and knowing nexon theres always other events or just regular gameplay to do, and considering that this game has fishing events every now and then getting a fishing 2nd title would be nice for newcommers.

  • Why do people constantly insist that mabi is dying

@Unisex theres a whole a lot to be debated about here, but besides the main topic yes they did assume someone would call them that but you're not helping the stereotype of higher leveled players being cheeky and/or condescending like you just did by responding like that.

  • New player in need of advice

I'm gonna leave this here I think its a good starting point then you could branch off to harder means

EDIT: you can get red gems by killing white spiders or hitting props, things like street lamps or signs. the mobs should be really weak for you to kill them and if you're using bard lullaby is your best friend.

other than that theres HW selling ( getting to use multiple characters to farm the ptj) but its very long process and usually the market is pretty competitive.( I don't really recommend this one but if you don't want combat I guess go with it. )

I can't think of anything else to help a new player other than to join a guild and quest with them. Hope something I mentioned could be of use to you.

RNG drops exclusively behind instanced chests and monsters isn't anything new and can realistically be grinded out ""easily"".
RNG drops exclusively behind limited field monsters is something new and you can't grind them because you have to compete with the server. This doesn't really work well for the chain slash page items, because:
    1) Polar hornets have an apparent hard spawn cap per time interval
    2) Ancient monsters are a precious commodity

none of the chain stuff is harder than the other page quests, and on top of that they're really not that pricey. I've stated my opinion on it several times. Players are too used to being handfed new content.

I'm honestly inclined to side with you on people wanting to be handfed, but that opinion promptly changed the second Nexon put Chain Slash up as a suggested first talent and hiding utility AoE skills behind mid-game content they cannot do.

I'm pretty sure they do that with all new talents to hype it, but yeah my opinion faltered a bit because of that.

Which reminds me I saw this ad on CR
