  • Who managed to pull this off?

Easy, dowra+shamala eyed and the freestyle as mentioned.

This game does so many things right its just sad that no one tries to copy it mechanics.
Then again this game runs on a bunch of mathematical equations for calculating damage idk.
All i do know is that i love this game to death and probably won't ever quit the game...

This. Despite being a bit outdated, it's still pretty advance in it's potential. Some are close, but they don't beat it. I have yet to find a game that allows the same freedom Mabi gives it's players.

There have been times that I've been full longbow range, at 90 degree angles from the attack's direction and still been hit during mounted archery.

Yeah this is one of those things that need to be tweaked a bit. However, running under his legs to the back will help you dodge it as with the other bosses we faced in part 1.

They upped it this gen, requiring consistent dps (not in bursts like fighter) and timing. For tagar, when I knew she was going to go into the ground I made sure to be at the pillar and tried to already start hitting it because I know she was after me. By the time she was out of the ground, she would get hit albeit me missing a few times, we only needed three I think. Afterward, I bashed, smacked, and shot her with my arrows.

What level are you? I'm lvl 570 something total, it was a bit of a effort. I just needed to strategize a bit more. The worst for me was the dopple...that was terrible. If you ignored killing the minions and hitting the orbs, it would have been impossible depending on your wounding skill set. You could have as much naos and mp shield as much as you want, as you wittle it down a few points at a time after regen. You would run out of time. The golem was nothing with the use of hide, I passed it on the first go easily due to the prompt.

Also for Talvish, thank goodness it did not require us to bring him down to zero health.

For the dopple, I made sure to kill the minions first as I temporarily summoned a cloud/pet to keep it busy and then hit the orbs. I would then use my mag, which really made a punch, and that was all I needed. Sometimes I would use my fighter as well. It went: Kill minions, then summon cloud/pet, then hit orbs and attack- repeat.

These gens really keep you on your toes. Despite some of the mechanics that need to be worked out, I say there was a lot of heart put in it and I could see that. I love how this 2nd part ended.

  • Weekly Loc Discussion: Favorite G21 Character?

It’s a hard one. I do really like that all of the knights have much more flushed out personalities and back stories. We get to see a lot of them more, and it makes them all more complex. I’m going to have to say that my fondness for Aveline has definitely gone up.

    ****mild spoilers *****

I really enjoyed the moment when she cut her hair off. She’s always been one of the most put together knights of the group. And to find out that she was being tracked, and blaming herself was pretty rough.

I have to ask.. does anyone know if this is the end of generations in Mabinogi? I get that it’s called Finale, because it’s the finale of the divine knights saga... but as things started unfolding, it’s really feeling like something major. They have started bringing little bits of everything together, even very nostalgic moments from G1. Even characters like Millia, Dian Cecht, the black wizard, and Shylock. I’m not saying it’s the end of the game... but, is this the end of the storyline? Or will it be going somewhere different? I’m not sure what was said in Korea etc.

Llewelyn has something odd going on also. The perfume, the fact that we can never seem to know much about him. Makes me curious ;) but I like him!

Llewelyns perfume is due to him needing to blend in with the regular people. Supposedly he does undercover missions outside. There must be more to what is going on with him for sure.
The characters are nicely done, it's hard to have a favorite. I love how Altam has more to him than a basic happy go lucky fan boy, he gets angry, has some dark moments, has doubts, etc. Avelin was a character that grew on me as well, she feels like a respectful character. Also when she cut off her hair, couldn't help but think it was a Sakura moment xD.

I do think Hadism needs a bit of tweaking though. With the charging and almost no ability to do strategy using the environment, it just ends up having us needing to just tank. Also, the knights freeze in place around the 20 something minute mark. This mission hurt. I'm still not done recovering. *cries*
