Two veterans from the old Naowegian league duke it out in the final; one from Tarlach, one from Mari.

The original "one to beat" came out of retirement and showed that their time off had not softened them a bit as they take the cup this week.

We had a few jousters from farther down the rankings ladder percolate to the top this week.

It has some similarities, but it also has strategies and tactics not just psychology and luck. Think of Rock Paper Scissors as wannabe Jousting.

Some well played matches in this tournament as the jousting community, at large, has improved over time.

A five-rounder this week and we had some absent jousters return to the poke-fest.

The original "guy to beat", who came back to jousting recently, racks up their second win, since returning.

The original "guy to beat", who came back to jousting recently, racks up their second win, in eight days, third since coming back, to tie the current "guy to beat" for the most wins, at ten. Unfortunately they say that they're going to take some time off, which is a shame; we all look forward to their return.
This was also the last finals of the year so we also have the year-end rankings of all that jousters that have ever competed in the Magic Spear Finals on Erinn server, NA.

Our forum patriarch @Elebon made it through 5 rounds to the final but was bested by a long time jouster whom finally got their first lance and win!

We had a Giant (capital G) win this week. One of the best things about the new Magic Spear jousting is that all game player races are equal in jousting. In the past, it was easiest to win playing a human and hardest to win playing a giant; that's all gone now.

We had a couple jousters, who've been around for a little while, finally make it to the big match.

I forgot to log-in on time and missed recording the finals but the #1 ranked jouster, Zarric, stepped-up and recorded it for me and allowed me to use their footage. In order to do this, they kindly made the sacrifice of dropping out of the tournament so that they could record all the matches. Despite this, they did bet on the person that won the entire thing. They're so good at jousting that they can still win the tournament even without participating in it; HOW DO THEY DO IT!!!!

The best jouster to come out of Tarlach takes this one in a five-rounder.
Come on out and try it. Some old timers that you remember are still participating; mostly it's new folks. There are six prelims a day, instead of 2: 10a, 10:15a, 10:30a, 7p 7:15p 7:30p California time ; so you can earn 3 tickets by the end of Monday, and the NPCs are actually easier to beat now. Prelims are only on ch 5 to ch 9 and the finals are on ch 8 Sunday 1p California time. Come on down!
