  • So about those custom avatars we were told about..

Have to admit, having by butler flairs back would definitely increase my presence. Old forums were a heck ton of fun because of avatars and titles. Also made everyone a lot more identifiable. Now it's Nao #241 or Cichol #422 with an occasional Fleta.

To be fair, it's easier on the Vmods now.
Although we could still use KR's forum IGN Main Character Avatar update. I'm pretty sure it uses the same or a similar system to the main site's guild page.

  • Dear Nexon: STOP RUINING THE ECONOMY

Oh no, did Nexon pull a Gaia Online? Didn't you learn that this was a bad idea in economics class?

  • "Notify me when guild member logs in" option

So let's take the UI into frame here.
If this were to work, let's say for the benefit of the doubt that it would work like this.

Friends List -> See Friends/View Guild Members
Right click on Friendofnao, then this list would pop up:
    -Send Message
    -Add Friend
    -Block
-Change Group (Move to Block or to Friends)
-Delete Friend (If friend) or Kick from guild (If leader/co leader.)
    -Send Note
    -Homestead
    -Notify of Log In

    As for another handy addition:
    Friends List -> Option
    -Nickname
    -My Status
-Notify Me When A Friend Logs In
-Notify Me When A Guild Member Logs In (This is generally automatic, so this would be a toggle option.)
[When Noftify Me When a Friend/Guild Member Logs in is toggled off, a list of friends/guild members you have toggled to be notified will be listed below.]

  • Alturism System

Currently, Mabinogi players can assist new players on quests through the Alturism Quest Board. (Thereby earning themselves Altruism points and rank.)
However, although Mabinogi features skill/class tutorials, it may need more fun and cooperative ways to assist new players in desiring to learn the game.
What if there were ways of teaching others how to raid, or learn the more advanced dungeon mechanics, or handle more mobs on their own?
This could be in the form of an RP style mini game, where even a veteran player can receive a reward they otherwise wouldn't have gotten.
(Such as previously gachapon exclusive or newly designed homestead/gesture items, since they can't accept the quest past a certain level.)

Let's take defeating the four hydras (Uroborus) for example.
If Nexon were to turn that into a pinball style of mini game:
It could be where the player's goal is to escort an NPC (a blue American Soccer Ball painted with the faces of Lorna, Pan, and Ferghus) to the other side, into the goal without the NPC's HP reaching zero (The ball popping from hydra breath). Then Nexon could have both a fun minigame that melds different aged mechanics, and an Uroborus AI/Magic Shield teaching mechanic. Or the players could better learn how to master the range of Hydra Transmutation through participation.
Each clear or fail of the mini game would award the assistant player some Altruism points, depending on their partner's final score.
For now, let's say that up to a certain level, you can repeat this mini game daily, receiving it as a daily quest.
(You can also request assistance for it daily as well.)

There could even be half a dozen in universe inspired mini games added into the Altruism system, which would otherwise overcrowd Festia with too many new attractions.
If you have any ideas for mini games that can teach new players the mechanics of Mabinogi, or just have ideas for new mechanics for adding into the fun of earning Altruism points, please make sure to share.

  • Teleport To Party Member Button

    So I was thinking...
Remember back before you ever had those super fast nimbus pets?
Before you were uber cool and a super strong demigod after hours of grinding for gachapons and mastery?
I was wondering if maybe Mabinogi could use a button where you could be teleported to a party member.
Given that the system AI can determine that enemy AI is not combative, a new player could be teleported from floor 1 to floor 2 where their veteran party member is waiting.
(If the AI detects either the user or target player in combat mode, then the teleport function would be cancelled.)
I can't help but wonder how useful such a feature could be, especially in shadow missions where you have multiple mob spawn locations.
What would be super cool is if the teleport feature was an action with a cool down, like continent warp.
This way players aren't abusing the instant movement feature through constant utilization.

What do you guys think? Does Mabinogi need more convenience in parties or raids? Or are you already fine with utilizing your pets?
Note: Please remember before any FUD comments, that Nexon KR is filled with geniuses who can prevent any potential exploits before the feature would be released.
