I’ll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda.
It feels too late to even suggest this with how New Rise is but there should be more PvE content that isn't raiding. The most fun times of Mabinogi were when you could join any party in a dungeon lobby or at a shadow mission stonehenge and play without needing to worry about boss mechanics or instakills.
This is very different from casual content. I'm talking about content that isn't choreographed or doesn't need rehearsals. Content that doesn't waste your time by having enemies with too much HP and Protection like Veteran dungeons when they were first introduced. Enemies should still hit hard but should be able to be damaged without needing to apply every debuff or have endgame bard buffs. Content where you don't need to do critical hits to do significant damage. Enemies that die in a single critical Smash. Mid bosses that take a few critical Smashes. Bosses that take 30 seconds to a minute to beat. Less enemies with knockdown immunity. Better combat scenarios with enemy healers and tanks that crowd control you. You could have tamer enemies that spawn animals like Deian in the Martial Arts Tournament. Enemies with less detection range. Enemies with aggro limits so you can take on 3 enemies at a time, per person.
Please separate raiding and dungeons. Let raiders enjoy raiding and let dungeon runners enjoy dungeon crawling for exp, gold, and treasure. I have no interest in raiding so please don't try to force players into that by removing everything else. Players who run raids and fight bosses with their guilds don't deserve more gold and rewards than players who do other things. Raiding is just one type of content.
I really want Nexon KR to move away from the raiding content and make more solo and random party friendly content for progression without fail conditions. Every MMO gets it twisted and tries to make raiding into progression when it should be optional, for fun, leaderboard content for guilds. Being a veteran solo player, it's like there's no reason to play the game if you're not in a guild or have a steady capable party now. There's no more random public parties because newbies are encouraged (forced) to run Blaanid's solo main story quest line.
I miss when Nao just dropped you into the game with bread and a guide book and sent you on your way. Making a new character during this master plan, I saw that the game pushes new players right into Blaanid who then forces you to rebirth and starts giving you the boosted AP as opposed to the villagers of Tir Chonnail. I'll never know what it's like to be a fresh Mabi player in 2025 but when I try to revist older MMOs and I'm given a bunch of freebies that take the fun out of the game and someone, on the forums, says that the game gets challenging around level 90 out 99 or at endgame, I mentally check out.
There were so many opportunities to not go down the road of invalidating all the content before endgame. The dungeon revamp didn't need to bloat enemy HP. We didn't need Divine Link only later to invalidate it with Rabbie Phantasm Wraiths. Enemies could've had lore specific reasons to why they're immune to CC like a variant corrupted alchemist immune to shock and rain casting or a golden bard skeleton immune to lullaby. Something instead of just making random enemies immune and resistant to popular skills after a certain point. If not for the trend of bloating enemy HP, we might've not needed all the renovations that nearly doubled damage multipliers. I had hopes we might get a classic server when Eternity releases since current Mabinogi is like a late-stage MMO but the combat and bosses are changing so drastically classic would have to be in the pleione engine.
It's a bugle. VIP service gives you 3 Bugles (that expire in 7 days) per character on your account on Monday. They don't show the message across the top of the screen so people sell them cheaply. You can also choose random on every day and there's a chance to claim more bugles because it gives you a gift at random from any day.
There should be an option that automatically hides AFK players similar to blacklisting. It would be off by default but in the options. If a player hasn't moved in X minutes they will be flagged/hidden. You could set the number of minutes from 1 to 10 and choose between flagged or hidden. If you select flagged, they'll have a banner above them that says "AFK". If you select hidden, they turn invisible like blacklisting until they move. Another option would be to use the AFK flagging that Tara's bank part-time job uses. It would be a nice option to see active players.
