  • Please bring back Duncan's skill reset service.

I feel it takes a lot away from the original concept -or what I believe it was, at least- of making your character what you want it to be. Nowadays, you *HAVE* to do everything and be everything or be left out of content...

I'm not sure how having/not having this feature applies to Duncan's now-defunct service, but this would be among my biggest complaints of the game today. When I started, I got the distinct impression that you could be what you wanted to be (warrior, mage, tailor, etc.) and be successful in the game. Now days, even that's not enough. You need to rank everything AND have equipment that makes Vibranium look like tissue paper.

  • Allow NPCs to repair partner equipment

Clearly, they want us to spend $$$ to buy items to temporarily remove items from partners. For me, it has inspired me not to give items to my partners in the first place.

  • Back after like 7 years and my stuff is gone

I have a feeling that you have given up on this thread. But just in case...

In you want the Raccoon Cub because of the change in Combat Power, you might be interested in knowing that an earlier post this year said that they are planning on doing away with all CP-related skill-training in 2022. I haven't heard a word about it since they made the announcement, but it's supposed to be coming. I hope they haven't changed their minds on that one.

Of course. if you want the RC simply because it is rightfully yours, I wish you well in your search. If you never find it, I hope that you find an adequate replacement. The price of those should drop once they remove those skill requirements.

  • Why can't you do an event quest if.......

Apparently certain quests override the default response of an NPC when you try to talk to them, and they are assigned priority. Sometimes it's nice so you can get right down to business with an NPC, but other times, it can be a real hassle. When I returned back to this game, all my beginner quests were reset to undone and that made discussions with Duncan quite difficult because I had to go through a lot of mind-numbing minutia to proceed (including a forced rebirth at a current level of THREE).

I've had issues with other NPCs because of this too. There is only one fix to this: complete the quest that is interfering with your progress.

  • Post Merge Names

I think the reason they don't want duplicate names is for preventative damage control. If one player impersonated another (or just had the same name) and caused trouble, it would be harder for Nexon to handle and a greater chance that they would accidentally punish the wrong player. In like manner, they've instituted rules that letters cannot follow numbers. This prevents someone creating a giant named He1sa (which would look like Helsa in game).

Even if it weren't something to rise to TOS consideration, mistaken identity alone is a reason to avoid duplicates.
True, you can't eliminate mistaken identity, but you can minimize the chances. If nothing else, this is a situation Nexon won't have to sort out if one player shares the same name as another creates some chaos.

I can see a similar problem with pets, seeing as how we can log in as a pet. They can't share the same name. The fact that they can't share the same name as humanoid characters or pets of different species seems a bit ridiculous, though. But as mentioned in a post above, their identity as a game object depends on the player-created name, not some generated ID.

I like the idea of last names. That might allow names to be reused. But I have the sneaky suspicion that would be more complicated than it sounds. It not like adding a title. This would be more like changing the character name (as is done at maintenance, for those who ask for it), which would involve changing the game object ID of the character. This could easily be done for new characters, but for those already created, it's probably something the developers and maintenance crew really does not want to handle.
