  • Adjust boat frequency

I've often wanted an in-game notice for boat departures. Whether placed in the Traveler's Guide, or somewhere at the Trading Posts, it would help a lot.

As far as the current wait times, they have often frustrated me. I don't mind the concept of waiting on the next boat (I actually like the idea), the problem is that the wait time + boarding time + sailing time = too much time. Consider this plausible scenario:

    1) Player A leaves Tir for Port Ceann en route to Vales with Lovely Potion.
    2) Player A misses the boat by 1 second.
    3) In that same moment, Player B loads up the same goods in Tir and heads for Ceann.
    4) The delay for Player A is so long that Player B catches the same boat with time to spare.
    5) Player B outpaces Player A and gets the prize at Vales. Too bad for Player A.

And it's not just that route. Going from Cor to Tara is even more chancy because of the lengthy wait times. They need to be halved. Not eliminated, but drastically reduced.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind that players can have speed advantages over one another (mount, speed potions, transport gear, etc.), but this is way too much of an advantage for the fast player who delays picking up goods. We strive to approach commerce as early bird gets the worm, but it can be that the second mouse gets the cheese. The boarding times need to be reduced for balance of competition.

Not to mention, it's incredibly boring with the (mostly reasonable) limitations placed on players while carrying goods. This is compounded due to the absurd wait times.

  • about the sheep event

I kept feeding my sheep for lols too. I got him to 732. Since the event ends tomorrow, I guess I'm done.

Anyway, I selected the giant cotton candy sheep after getting the event sheep to 500. The event sheep was a little larger upon first summon of the pet. The sheep I fed seems a little bit even larger compared to the pet sheep now (could be my imagination, though).

I would suspect that there is a maximum actual size for the event sheep. Setting aside that there is a maximum value determined by the length of the event, my guess is that the developers have a number of predetermined display sheep that "level up" at certain values. My sheep seemed to suddenly get noticeably larger, not gradually, at different times as the event went along, so I think at certain thresholds, the event sheep gets bigger. There is probably a cap.

I'm glad this event came back The last time they had this event was when I returned to the game. I came back too late. I needed a few more days to get the free pet.

  • "Lovers in the Forest of Desire" book needed

Lovers in the Forest of Desire is only available from the end chest of Fiodh Normal Dungeon. It cannot be traded or obtained elsewhere in game. You must run the dungeon to get your copy.

Unfortunately, the drop rate is rather low. Some people have been really lucky and obtained it on their first try. But most of us take many runs at it before we get the drop from the chest. And, in that, we fully understand your frustration. Personally, it took me probably a dozen or two runs to get it. It dropped for me when I was running the dungeon for something else.

One thing that can increase your odds is to get a full party and run the dungeon. Just beg everyone not to pick up the book if it spawns from their end chest (since the book isn't tradable). Even if you can only get one other person to run it with you, your odds go up.

  • Keep Event NPC's with Shops +1 week

It really stinks when you've been collecting event items to buy something from an event NPC's store and for one reason or another the event ends before you're ready to make your final purchase. In such a case you'd at least like to buy SOMETHING with the stuff you've collected, but when the NPC vanishes with the event, you might discover that you wasted a lot of time and energy into an event from which you could not capitalize. This can easily happen when you lose track of the day of the week, or when you log in before the maintenance notice goes up (thereby missing the warning), or when the randomness of life unexpectedly forces you away from the game for a few days at just the wrong time.

A few recent events addressed this issue and kept NPC's from an expired event for one extra week to reedem our rewards. I suggest that this should be standard practice. When the NPC in question is on a special map (like Doki Doki island) during an event, stick it somewhere in Dunbarton. Not only would this help players who fail to buy from the special store before an event ends, but it allows all players to focus on actually playing the game and enjoying the event without becoming neurotic, saying, "I need to check with the NPC before I log off today. I hope I remember. I hope I remember. I don't trust myself. Maybe I should talk to the NPC now and buy stuff now. Gah, I'm not ready to do that just yet. What to do, what to do?"

The training event just ended and the NPC that redeemed the rewards went bye-bye with it. Fortunately for me, I cashed in before maintenance. But I know there have to be players out there that would like that would like to have had one last crack at buying items from the store.

It should also go without saying that special items used to buy from the stores should also last that extra week before being forcibly deleted from the inventory.

  • Ideas to make Transforming non-obsolete

    Cho wrote: »
I'm not a coder but I imagine with all of the random little interactions that can happen in the game, it could open the door to some sort of permanent transformation exploit.

Neither am I, but if anything I think it's more likely to just cause a lingering graphical glitch, like how Final Hit graphics stick around after the skill has expired. The player might look as though transformed after they loose the buffs. I don't think a true exploit is their concern. Personally, I think it's just a rule they stuck in to challenge players.

Old devs probably never thought we'd get to the stat cap and now we have echostones and shine of eweca ignoring it while current devs use arcana as a way to give us a higher stat cap. We shouldn't have a stat cap IMO but transformation should ignore it.

The original developers probably never thought we'd need those stat boosts. Some of these endgame bosses... I feel like I'm fighting a Sith Lord dual-wielding lightsabers while I'm armed with a wet noodle.
