It's that time again we are looking for friendly and active people to help grow our guild as we continue to achieve our dreams in Mabinogi. We don't have any level requirements and accept everyone no matter your skill level or experience. If you need help with anything we have a friendly guild chat and a guild forums site you can join to connect with our members and setup parties to tackle missions. I will be putting our official recruitment notice on an external site and forwarding it to anyone interested (due to past members copy and pasting stuff from our last thread and fomor forums - we are handling things differently and more securely now) woo! Our new forums are a lot easier to work with and have greater security and allows for better deterrents of spamming ect. Our discord server has been revamped also to provide better security measures and prevent spamming/flaming which has happened in the past sadly. All the drama llama's are gone from the guild now so we can focus on the goals of each of our members as they journey through the world of Mabinogi. Let me give you some background of myself and the guild to help you decide if this is the place for you!

    About me:
My name is Samuel and I've been a guild leader since roughly 2005 with 35 guilds total (including this one in Mabi and the others on external sites). Being a guild leader is a challenge, but i love making new friends that share interests and want to have fun together. I have an associates degree for Web Development and Graphic Design so making websites and graphic content is my forte. I plan to design our external recruitment thread pretty fancy to showcase all the awesome things this guild has to offer. I joined Mabinogi roughly around the start of Generation 9 (and cringe at the memories of how alchemy use to be) and have since cleared all of the Generations including the recent content for Memento. My total level is close to 13k which is something I'm very proud of. When i first started I couldn't do anything other than fishing until I met my first friend and mentor who taught me how to fight and do dungeons. If it wasn't for his kindness I would still be fishing in Tir going for that huge fish you see swimming around in there lol. Now I consider myself "retired" from Mabinogi because of what I have achieved and I strive to help others achieve their goals in the game. Despite all the awful rumors people have been spreading about me, I have not lost hope and have not given up on my friends and my guild. The friends I have in Mabi are what keep me coming back and keep me interested in this game. People that walk beside me and make the game a happy experience bring a light into this world that shines brighter with their presence. Every new friend i make helps that light shine even more.

    About Rosevane:
We are a little over a year old now ^^ This guild started on January 30, 2016 and since we have had our shares of ups and downs. People have tried to defame and despirit the members of this group, but it is all rumors and falsities. We are a beautiful flower that continues to bloom through adversities. We grow stronger together and stand by our core principles of chivalry, companionship, and an enjoyable experience for everyone. We welcome all to join us no matter your level or experience with the game. If you need help we will be glad to assist with everything from dungeons, shadow missions, raids, and even life skills XD Sometimes you need a break from the grind and want to work on making yourself some armor or a nice new weapon after all. We have a new forum and discord server so be sure to ask Samuelalex for the info if you decide to join us.

Some of the things we offer you as a member of this guild include - membership to our forums for updates on events and things going on in the future, membership to our private discord chat to keep in touch with fellow guildies and get help, a guild shop to help you sell your stuff hosted by Sam (note him for information), guild hosted events including dungeons, shadow missions, boss raids, and mission assistance, specialized skill training assistance -this is unique to Rosevane- learn from our masters how to be the best you can be at whatever path you chose to pursuit! Some of the social things we like to do include music jam, hang outs with food sharing, possible dress up events in the future, and exploring the various places to take screenshots XD Holiday themed events are also in planning to include contests and giveaways which have been a big hit for us in the past!

No Spamming/Flamming allowed. Please only post here if you have questions or are interested in joining so that one of the guild admins can assist you. Anyone who responds for any other reason could be reported to the moderators and have their posts removed. We are looking for friendly people to join us and help make mabinogi a fun experience.

  • Guild Banning System Possibly?

So thinking on the subject of blacklisting I thought of something that might be helpful in guilds. My idea is to have a blacklist/ban user function for members (including alts that share same account) to prevent them from joining guild they have essentially been kicked out of for misconduct/violation of rules. Such as if someone is excessively rude and after warning continued to be then leader can decide to kick/ban the person which would prevent them from reapplying to the guild under their current name or any alts they may have under the same account.

This may sound a bit extreme, but I think it would be helpful to protect guilds from dealing with known troublemakers.

How this would work: If the offending player is in game Guild leader or Guild officer can right click person and say something like "ban from guild" which would automatically reject any application they try to put in for the guild under current character or alts under same account. Another option could be from guild management controls where you view members and setup like welcome message and such well another tab could be added for guild leader and officer only to type in a name and add that person to the guild banned list. If the officer does it a message would go to the leader to confirm before it is implemented just to be sure they want the person banned.

I'm not sure if viewing of the banned list should be available to all or not, but this should be a tab setup in similar manner to the regular member listing to show who can not join the guild (that way they won't be mistakenly invited either). When guild leader or officer views the list they have the option to remove ban from a player if they want to as well which would delete them from the list and allow them to apply to guild if they want to.

Basic explanation: If one character is added to the banned list it affects all characters that share the same account (login ID) so that an Alt can not be used to reapply for the guild.

The main reason I bring this up is because of Alt accounts the troublemaker could try to join guild under a different character to further cause problems which this would help prevent ^^

It would also be helpful to add in a minimum level requirement that a player must meet before they can apply for the guild. The minimum level required to join would be selected by the guild leader and can be changed as needed from the guild options menu. ((Suggested by Blissfulkill))

  • Stricter Blacklisting and changes to this function

The reasonI bring up the suggestion about guild leaders noticing their members of blacklisted people is because for the past 2 months I have been stalked and harassed by a partIcular guild run by a disgrunted exmember of mine who is upset that they did not get control over the guild. As revenge they are pming my guild members to make them quit and be with this guild that opening participates in stalking and harassment of me and the few people I have left. I am trying to recruit new people to replace the ones who left however this guild is approaching my recuits and bribing them with gifts to convince them to leave. This constitutes stalking in my eyes and I would like a way to notify new members of what happened so they can avoid said harassing individuals that intend to damage me and my guild further. In the past these people have used mutual friends to bypass blacklisting and continue harassment in group windows so therefor there needs to be a way to alert people so they are not subjected to the same abusive behavior these people represent against me personally.

The harassment is never going to end by these people. I have done my best to avoid them and move on with my life and what little friends I have left because of their selfish actions but it is clear they can't move on and are determined to harass me until the day I quit mabi. I am done being abused and stalked by these people. I am grateful for the true friends I have that have stood by me and supported me through all these abusive behavior. I will continue to enjoy the game with my friends and ask for one last time that these people of a certain guild stop interfering with that. Me and my guild want nothing to do with people that use harassment and intimidation to get their way and make them look better than everyone else.

I have submitted my proof of this on going harassment by said individuals and I pray Nexon takes my claims seriously and puts an end to this so I can enjoy the game and have fun. Please ask these individuals to stay away from me, my guild, and stop harassing me on the forums. I am sick and tired of it and will not be bullied by these people anymore. They need to grow up and find something better to do with their time then terrorize me and try to make my life miserable. Facts are I am better off without these people in my life and I do not need any of this. Adding another name to my blacklist because they are adding to the harassment instead of leaving me alone. Go terrorize someone else now thank you. I am happier now that I don't have these oppressive people in my life trying to control things and argue over everything. Go away and leave me alone.

  • Mabinogi Direct Launch Ending March 16th

    @Nexon Staff:
Can you modify the launcher to close automatically when a game is selected?

I use direct launch now to avoid my game from closing due to client taking up 3 GB or more of physical memory. With the client and launcher are open I crash more often which is why I have been avoiding it. I am a little disappointed that the launcher will be the only want to open the game, however if it can be changed to close the launcher program after the game launch begins I think it will resolve the problem of the client and launcher using too much memory together making the game unable to open. I never understood why we need an additional program to open the game in the first place.

Steam allows for you to open game from their interface or from a icon created to open the game directly so i wish this option was available to us for Mabinogi. I don't have another other games by Nexon so I'm not sure why the launcher is necessary.
