I like your theory, though there are definitely a couple shortcomings.
-Elves can in fact use archery on the back of a horse already, the reason its not a universal thing is because its a unique trait for elves seeing as they have little else.
-Additionally, I think Melee weapons should only include two handed melee weapons, but this would cause issues for elves. Lances are essentially the Giant and Human version of mounted combat to give them something to compare with elves.
-It would trivialize the unique trait of Combat Mount pets who's main feature was mounted combat. These pets use the damage of your weapon when mounted, essentially already allowing mounted Melee and Magic.
-It locks an additional skill behind the pet system, which isn't too bad but this fixates it on mounts.
-Dual Gun seems kinda pointless considering how it's based on movement skills. You'd be knocked off your mount very quickly.
However, I absolutely support the idea that bards should be able to play instruments while mounted. Mounted healing too would be very cool for raids. Troubadour anyone?
I can see why it looks like the same model, but from the looks of it the only thing thats the same is the texture, which HAS been weirdly stretched over the model of the wig, but this appears to be lazy texturing more so than a bug.
Even if its not a bug, it could probably be fixed up a little so it looks nicer for you :>
I agree. I don't really like the fact that I can't repair anything I give my Partner without paying NX for it. Though partners generally are kinda given the short end of the stick with pets being able to soul link nowadays...
I think they at least deserve the ability to have their equips repaired!
Feel like I might as well post what I've been up to in here. I'm a writer so I create characters, and during the event that let us change our appearance for free I decided to make a Giant based off an OC and spent a little gold on making her cute.
Additionally, since its the winter season, I like letting Giegue dress seasonally. Here's my favorite winter outfit, featuring a weird idle animation bug.

Headpiece: Cat Ear Headband
Gloves: Pet Training Glove
Shoes: Old Saint Nick Boots
Accessories: Blue Diamond Wings, an entertaining bug with a savage fire wand.
And meet Tinnie! I finished creating her outfits yesterday using clothing I already owned and like 3 cheapo dyes because I'm a cheapskate. The only thing I bought specifically for her was the Wig!
